OTHERS Unique features of university which are relevant/attractive for exchange students Many opportunities to interact with local community as well as enjoy rich dietary culture May take any courses in Japanese/English without additional tuition fees For your Japanese language study, our students act as Japanese tutors to help you learn Japanese(conversation practice, sentence correction, etc). And in your daily life, our international student supporters will help you with procedures at the municipal office, opening a bank account, and accompany you to the hospital, shopping, etc. Housing Exchange students are accommodated in a nearby furnished apartment. Each 2-bedroom apartment is shared by 2 or 3 students. (The apartment unit has the following –For each student: a bed and a desk. In the kitchen: a fridge, a cooking stove, a microwave, an electric kettle, and a rice cooker. In the living room: a TV, a sofa, and a dining table set. In the bathroom: a washing machine. Each room is equipped with an air-conditioner.) Rent for one semester is 200,000 yen (double occupancy)/260,000 yen (single occupancy) including utility charges and internet. Additional fees may be charged to students if utility fees exceeds above the normal range, or there is any damage to the appliances/facility. Additional cleaning fees may also be charged if needed. UNP may not be able to accommodate each students according to his/her wish regarding room assignment. Q&A 1.Does the dormitory rent include utility charges? Yes. the dormitory rent(single-occupancy bedroom 260,000 yen per semester, double-occupancy bedroom 200,000 yen per semester) includes electricity, gas, water, public broadcasting bills, and internet usage fees. However, if you use more than a certain amount, we will charge you separately. 2.Are the Japanese and English levels listed in the “ACADEMIC INFORMATION” above required? No. we expect incoming exchange students to have this language level, but it is not required. 3.Can I receive a transcript after completing my studies at your university? Yes. Our university will issue a transcript with course titles, credits, and grades, which will be passed to you through the study abroad department at your university. 4.Can you provide some information about cafeteria in the university? It is open weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You can eat noodle, curry and rice, rice bowls, buffet meals, lunch boxe, etc. for about 400 Yen. Besides cafeteria, there are many restaurants near the university.
